Will I have to put up my house as collateral on a bad credit loan?

If you choose a secured loan, then the equity in your home will provide security to the lender in the event that you don't make the repayments. However, if you choose an unsecured bad credit loan, interest rates will of course be higher, to reflect the greater risk that the lender is taking. top

How much can I borrow on a bad credit loan?

You can borrow from £50 to £500,000, depending on a variety of factors, including the amount of equity in your property, your employment status and your financial circumstances, over a period of 1 to 25 years. top

Do I have to get my house valued before applying for a bad credit loan?

No, you don't need to do anything. We will arrange the valuation to be carried out by a property expert, who will view your property and assess its value at a convenient time for you. top

Where can I find an explanation of bad credit loan terms?

Just click on our loan glossary for an explanation of some of the words you might come across when you're looking for a bad credit loan or other form of finance. top

How do I apply for a bad credit loan?

Applying for a bad credit loan is very straightforward. You can either apply for a bad credit loan application online using our simple form or call our friendly staff on 0845 2570729. Of course, if you have any questions regarding your credit history, we'll be happy to help, so just ask. top

How long will my loan take to be paid out?

Dependant on the loan type you choose, we may be able to pay out same day. top

How much can you lend?

Depending on your circumstances and loan type, we can lend anything from £50 to £500,000. top

You have offered me less than I would like, can you help with a larger amount?

All applications are individually considered. The amount that we have offered will be the largest amount that we feel we can lend you at this time; however once you have made repayments for a number of months we can re-consider your credit limit and top up your loan. top

Can you accept applications from people with a bad credit history?

We consider all applicants regardless of their credit history. However in some cases we require a guarantor to back your application. top

Can I settle my agreement early?

Yes, you may settle the agreement at anytime. You would need to contact the actual lender for specific figures. top

How can I contact you?

See the contact us page. top

I have just received my application form, why do I need a guarantor?

If you have been asked to provide a guarantor it is because we are unable to lend you the amount that you require based on your personal circumstances. As long as you keep to the agreed repayment terms, your guarantor should not be required to do anything other than sign the initial agreement form and speak to us prior to the loan being paid out to confirm their details. top

Do I need to send you my original documentation, or will copied documents be acceptable?

Photocopies of personal documentation such as driving license, debit card and bank statement are acceptable. We do however need the original credit agreement returned, signed and completed. We cannot take responsibility for any items that go missing in the post. top
